Epson Thailand today announced its continued dominance in the commercial and industrial printing market, achieving a market share of 28% in 2024. Strengthening its leadership, the company is unveiling new innovations in signage and textile printing to meet the growing demands of digitalisation across industries.

Mr.Yunyong Muneemongkoltorn, Managing Director of Epson (Thailand) Co., Ltd., stated, “In 2024, Epson successfully maintained its leadership in the commercial and industrial printer market with a 28% total market share. Within this, the signage printer segment recorded the highest share at 30%, covering Eco-Solvent, Solvent, and Latex printing systems. Epson also led the textile printing market with a 30% share and secured a 32% share in the photographic printing segment.”

“This achievement reflects Epson’s commitment to driving digital transformation in the printing industry under Seiko Epson’s global mission. We focus on enhancing quality, production efficiency, and user convenience through cutting-edge inkjet technology, while remaining environmentally responsible. Epson Thailand continues to empower customers, both those transitioning to digital and those using traditional systems, by offering an end-to-end ecosystem that integrates hardware, software, services, and business models. Our customer base ranges from textile manufacturers and print service providers to designers, brand owners, and emerging entrepreneurs in the on-demand printing space.”

To solidify its leadership in signage printing, Epson has launched three new 64-inch Eco-Solvent printers, namely SureColor SC-S9130, SC-S8130, and SC-S7130. All models are equipped with the upgraded PrecisionCore Micro TFP printhead, Nozzle Verification Technology (NVT) that automatically detects clogged nozzles and adjusts print quality without interruptions, and Text Sharpness mode that enables ultra-precise printing of small text as fine as 3-point size. They use UltraChrome GS3 ink, certified by GREENGUARD Gold, ensuring safety and environmental friendliness.

The highlight model, SC-S9130, features an 11-colour ink set, the most in the market, including a new Green ink that significantly expands the colour gamut. This delivers vibrant and true-to-life colours for premium applications such as luxury brand posters, vehicle wraps, cosmetic labels, and art prints. While The SC-S8130 supports 6-colour printing, adding Light Cyan and Light Magenta, and is compatible with both 800ml and 1500ml ink packs. Its Hot Swap feature allows ink changes during operation, making it ideal for users who require both speed and colour precision. The SC-S7130 is designed for cost efficiency, making it ideal for print service providers focused on small-volume, on-demand production. It features a highly accurate media feeding system that ensures smooth, high-volume printing operations. The printer also offers user-friendly features, including automated media alignment, printhead cleaning, and remote management via an online control system.

Mr.Yunyong also added that Epson has continuously advanced its digital printing technology for the textile industry. Today, it is the only brand in the market offering large-format printers that cover every major application segment in textile printing. These include Dye Sublimation for polyester-based materials such as sportswear and fashion apparel; Direct-to-Garment (DTG) for printing directly onto cotton fabrics while preserving their natural texture; and most recently, Direct-to-Film (DTFilm), which completes Epson’s product portfolio. The DTFilm solution offers exceptional flexibility by enabling designs to be printed onto film and then transferred onto various materials, ideal for producing T-shirts, shoes, tote bags, and promotional merchandise.

The SureColor SC-G6030 is Epson’s first Direct-to-Film (DTFilm) printer in its textile printing lineup, developed in response to the rapidly growing popularity of DTFilm technology in the market. The SC-G6030 features Epson’s PrecisionCore Micro TFP printhead with Nozzle Verification Technology, which helps reduce printhead clogging and minimizes downtime. With a generous print width of 35.4 inches, the printer offers ample space for laying out large-format designs on each film roll, making it highly versatile for producing oversized graphics. This opens up new creative possibilities for a wide range of users from entrepreneurs and fashion brands to designers specializing in custom work and even print shops looking to expand their on-demand production capabilities.

The SC-G6030 is engineered for high-volume printing with minimal upkeep. It includes a white ink circulation system that prevents sedimentation, reducing clogging and maintaining consistent print quality, fabric wiper system for cleaner operation, Cutter Timer that helps prevent film misalignment, and 1.6L ink packs that reduce the frequency of ink replacement. Another highlight of the SC-G6030 is its compact footprint. It occupies only 1.2 square meters, making it ideal for businesses with limited space. Moreover, the printer uses Epson UltraChrome DF ink, which delivers vibrant, sharp colours while being safe for users and environmentally friendly. The ink is certified by OEKO-TEX(R) and GOTS, two globally recognized standards for non-toxic and sustainable textile printing.

“Today, print service providers, signage producers, and designers are looking for more than just printers, they need tools that can drive business growth. Epson’s SureColor series, including both signage and textile printers, has been continuously developed to meet the diverse and evolving needs of modern users. These printers support a wide variety of applications and design styles, making them ideal for cost-effective, small-batch production. They are also designed for ease of use and low maintenance, helping to reduce labor costs and eliminating the need for highly skilled operators. With fast turnaround times, these printers enable businesses to respond quickly to market demands. Most importantly, Epson printers are built with sustainability in mind, from energy efficiency and waste reduction to the use of inks that are safe for both users and the environment. By combining innovation with environmental responsibility, Epson empowers its customers to push creative boundaries and seize new business opportunities with confidence,” said Mr.Yunyong.
