KBTG reinforces its position as a world-class technology leader, recently earning a spot among the top three organizations in the world recognized for their ability to leverage data and artificial intelligence (AI) to create tangible and measurable positive impacts on business operations, customer service, and sustainable organizational development. This recognition comes from the Data & AI Impact Award 2025, organized by Forrester, a world-leading technology research and advisory firm, which evaluates more than 2,500 enterprises worldwide.
Mr. Ruangroj Poonpol, Group Chairman, KASIKORN Business-Technology Group (KBTG), said, “KBTG has been recognized not only for its advanced technological capabilities but also for its ability to apply data and AI technologies at the organizational level to create meaningful impacts for customers, employees, and society as a whole. This achievement aligns with the K-Strategy 3+1, which focuses on sustainable growth while creating new revenue streams. KBTG plays a key role in driving this strategy forward through the implementation of practical and impactful technologies.”
Recently, KBTG was ranked among the world’s top three organizations for effectively leveraging data and artificial intelligence (AI) to generate measurable and tangible positive impacts across business operations, customer service, and sustainable organizational development. This recognition came from Forrester, one of the most influential research and advisory firms in the world, through its Data & AI Impact Award 2025, which evaluated more than 2,500 enterprises worldwide. Notably, KBTG stands out as the only company from Thailand and Asia to achieve a top-three global score.
Mr. Ruangroj added that KBTG’s success stems from its Human-First x AI-First 5+1 strategy, which promotes a comprehensive AI ecosystem. KBTG’s efforts go beyond model development to include building infrastructure that supports AI experimentation and responsible AI adoption. One of the key milestones is the creation of the AI and Data Playground, a secure sandbox environment for rapid AI prototyping. This allows employees to experiment with agentic AI, fine-tune generative AI, and develop Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) on their own without affecting the organization’s core systems – fostering continuous innovation. In its first year, more than 2,600 employees participated in building MVPs across the organization. KBTG’s Playground helped reduce development cycles from 30 days to just one day, significantly increasing organizational agility. In some use cases, productivity increased by more than 45 percent. Additionally, more than 10 million lines of code were generated by AI and reviewed by engineers, accounting for 10 percent of all developed code, resulting in early-stage cost savings of up to 124 million Baht.
Furthermore, KBTG has invested in developing employee skills through a tiered AI literacy program, ranging from basic to advanced levels, along with principles of responsible and ethical AI. This initiative aims to enhance employees’ capabilities in designing AI agents, creating machine learning prototypes, and utilizing agentic AI effectively and reliably, transforming employees from mere users into responsible innovators.
Mr. Ruangroj concluded, “Being selected as one of the world’s top three in the Data & AI Impact Award 2025 is not just a mark of success, but a testament that a Thai organization can proudly step onto the global stage with technological and AI capabilities second to none. It also reflects KBTG’s commitment to leveraging data and AI to create value across all sectors. KBTG believes that data and AI are not just tools, but the core of organizational transformation towards the future. The organization will continue to drive innovation powered by data and AI to enhance its ability to deliver technology that improves customer experiences and builds a better future for everyone.”
