It will also ensure that Thai people benefit from high-quality, standardized products and services at fair prices. This conference is not only a gathering of global standard-setting experts, but also a golden opportunity for Thailand to build credibility, foster collaboration, and shape a strong and sustainable future for the digital economy.” said the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Economy and Society.
Asst. Prof. Dr. Nuttapon Nimmanphatcharin, President/CEO of depa stated that the ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 7 Subcommittee on Software and Systems Engineering operates under the joint supervision of ISO and IEC. This subcommittee plays a vital role in developing international standards for software and systems engineering, covering all aspects from development processes, management, quality assurance, evaluation, and maintenance to ethical guidelines and trustworthiness of information systems and software. These standards are essential for building high-quality, secure, and interoperable software systems that comply with relevant national and international laws and regulations. The Global ISO Conference 2025 will serve as a critical platform for technical knowledge exchange and dialogue to help drive the development and improvement of standards in line with rapidly evolving modern technologies. The event will welcome delegates from 21 countries.
“The honor of hosting the Global ISO Conference 2025 marks a significant milestone in elevating Thailand’s role on the international digital standards stage. The initiative is supported by the Federation of Thai Industries to encourage Thai entrepreneurs to achieve international standards and qualify them for listing in the Thailand Digital Catalog. This registry serves as a trusted database of digital products and services from qualified Thai providers, complying with standards, quality requirements, and reasonable pricing. It aims to enhance transparency and trust among users and businesses. Both mechanisms are prime examples of national standard-setting efforts that can be scaled and recognized internationally.
